Vertebralogy and rehabilitation Institute, as independent clinic, began functioning relatively recently and can be called young organization. But the idea of creating such institution counts not a year. Wish for creating organization oriented on vertebral column pathology in Ukraine is dictated, at first, vertebralogy has begun developing very fast and successfully as independent scientific — functional medicine unit. Secondly, humankind changed active way of life to slow moving due to scientific — technical progress developing that caused outbreak of great number of vertebral column diseases. And thirdly, there appeared a lot of unprofessional doctors — artisan, who mostly don?t understand the vertebral column structure anatomy and aggravate the disease course by their treatment or make people invalid.

That is why in 2002, medical centre was opened where new schemes and programmes of conservative treatment were developed and applied such vertebral column diseases as intervertebral hernias, vertebral osteochondrosis (including complicated radicular syndrome), infantile and juvenile scoliosis, deforming arthrosis joints, different arthritis and arthrosis genesis. During rehabilitation treatment patients with paresis and paralysis of different origin, postoperative patients (herniation intervertebral hernia, replacement arthroplasty and others) and children with musculoskeletal system congenital pathology were examined and underwent treatment.

For two years vertebralogy and rehabilitation institute practice more than 450 patients with different pathology were provided with high-quality aid, approximately 100 callings a doctor with emergency relief. The main index of adequate treatment is that all patients pointed out amelioration after providing aid and 63 % of patients came back for preventive examination in half a year without essential complaints.
